the perfect {toasted marshmallow} milkshake



this is my favorite milkshake as of late. it's amazing how a marshmallow has such a distinct flavor! and in this, it's just the right amount. :)

i adapted it from this recipe. and tweaked it to my liking. adam's, too! :))


3 scoops vanilla ice cream {i used bryer's natural vanilla}

1 tablespoon whole milk {organic is best :)}

1 large splash of heavy whipping cream {whip before adding}

a handful 5+ jumbo marshmallows {some to mix in and some for on top!}

1) toast marshamllows under a broiler, or, if you're frisky, over a flame until they just start to blacken evenly (the trick is to make sure it's evenly toasted and dark, but not turned to charcoal).

2) put the milk, whipped cream, and then ice cream in the blender. blend together.

3)add three of the toasted marshmallows to the blender, and whirl it just until they're all broken up and distributed evenly.

4) pour that shake into a glass, top with more of the toasted marshmallows and serve with an extra-wide straw.

5) repeat if necessary. and it will probably be necessary!!
